Eight years of diverse product design experiences have molded me into an accomplished multifaceted UX/UI designer. Highly adept at creating and integrating complex user flows, I deliever polished architectures, wireframes, prototypes, and standards. These communicate design iterations and intentions to stakeholders, designers, and developers from conceptions through implemention.
Having taken on a wide range of UX/UI design, research, implementation, and documentation roles I have built amiable relationships with colleagues across multiple disciplines and readily spearhead projects with deciveness, confidence, and enthusiam.
When not working you can find me playing with yarn (knitting, crocheting, spinning wool), skiing at Mt. Bachelor, cooking, exercising, playing on my mandolin, playing with my cats, or hanging with my hubby.
My UX Disciplines
Static and Dynamic PRotoTyping
I have created over 500 static and dynamic prototypes since starting my UX career. For fast static prototyping I love Balsamiq, while more high fidelity and dynamic prototypes I use a combination of Affinity Designer and InVision. I can also prototype in Sketch, Adobe CC, and Axure for any client's needs.
I love the challenge of figuring out the best way to organize site/program content. What is the flow the user will take to accomplish tasks? How will users get from A to B? Where should content live and how should users get that information? I use IA to solve these mysteries and more.
I have helped select color schemes, typography, layouts, images, logos, and icons for sites. I have also created designs and assets for KittyHats and KittyBattles (3rd party apps for CryptoKitties) and my own CryptoKitties art project - DNA Dots.
I have gathered requirements from stakeholders, set project roadmaps, set team objectives, and organized team documentation. I have also directed team members and meetings, and ensured work was completed efficiently and correctly.
UX/Ui standards creation
I have created 400+ standards for User Experience and User Interfaces. These standards have described UI specifications, visual design branding, accessibility conformance, business requirements, basic SaaS/website architecture, and have had to comply with continuously-changing code bases.
I have built sites in HTML/CSS, Wix, and WordPress. Using my basic coding knowledge I can help translate between designers and developers, and help tweak Front-End code when necessary.
HFE & HSI
Humand Factors Engineering and Human System Integration is the basis of my Master's education. This helps me breakdown workflows, set reasonable UI goals, and create user stories and scenarios for websites and apps.
I have performed user tests and research to discovery how users were reacting to old and new product choices. I've used these tests in conjunctions with metrics to help discover the best route to go down when designing products.
