A UX/UI DESIGNER
...is a Jack-of-all-trades. I use layout, architecture, and well utilized UI to help users get the content and information they need. I use branding and visual design to pull in and engage the user, then use research and usability testing keep myself informed on how well new designs and marketing strategies are working.
I bring over 6 years of field experience with specializations in Information Architecture and User Experience/Interaction Design. My past work also includes brand design, content/standards creation and management, project management, and UX research.
I have created over 400 mockups/prototypes for website layouts and components and built websites in WordPress, Wix, and HTML/CSS. I have written over 400 UX/UI standards, created hundreds of visual assets, and conducted user research in person and online.
I am a strong team-player that excels at working independently, having worked the last 3 years remotely. I enjoy both showing off the skills I have mastered as well as taking on new challenges and learning new skills.
When not working you can generally find me playing with yarn (knitting, crocheting, spinning wool), skiing at Mt. Bachelor, cooking, out running, messing around on my mandolin, playing with my cats (real and CryptoKitties), or hanging out with my hubby.
A tattoo is a form of body modification, made by inserting indelible ink into the dermis layer of the skin to change the pigment.
From My Travels
Ansel Adams once said “Photography is an austere and blazing poetry of the real.” Photography has always brought the me joy of highlighting the every day beauty around me. From the valleys and peaks of the US to great countries beyond - my attempts below are to show the true poetry around us.
